Here will be up-to-date action items depending on stage of City policy changes, and progress of the project.

  1. Report site violations (traffic, noise, truck idling, off-hours disturbances) to the authorities indicated. As neither the site contractor nor City of Vancouver have any real-time monitoring of disturbance levels, it is up to neighbours to report violations and disturbances.
  2. Write Westbank, Peterson, ICON, Henriquez Partners Architects asking them to hold a meeting open to the public, with senior officials present, to provide details of the project — including work schedule, safety policies, efforts to mitigate neighbourhood impacts, etc., and to listen to community feedback.
  3. Write mayorandcouncil@vancouver.ca urging them to amend the Vancouver Building Bylaw and Vancouver Noise Bylaw to have better respect for neighbourhoods hosting major demolition/construction projects. Also encourage them to send a City Council member to attend the above meeting presented by Westbank and project partners.
